BA in Law
This course offers coverage of a wide range of legal subjects, including those which are regarded as essential for understanding of the Common Law system as it operates in the UK, the US and many other jurisdictions. The course emphasises the development of legal skills, such as case analysis and statutory interpretation, which are fundamental to understanding of legal materials and sources. Students will also have the opportunity to study a range of options and the chance to see the law operating in the international arena.
This course has been designed with international students studying by distance learning in mind. It seeks to develop deep understanding of the principles, features and skills of the common law by providing students with a detailed and carefully designed package of computer based learning materials fully supported by specialist tutors accessible on-line and offering extensive opportunities for electronic interaction with other students. These facilities will be available via our Virtual Learning Environment.
The BA Law does not provide a Qualifying Law Degree. But by completing, after you have obtained your BA Law, a one year Common Professional Examination/Graduate Diploma in Law course you can 'convert' the BA Law into a Qualifying Law Degree. Please contact our Admissions Officer for further information.
