The LLM in Human Rights and Criminal Justice reflects established areas of research strength in the School. The available options are both of international relevance and meet the demand for studying contemporary issues in human rights and criminal justice at an advanced level.

Syllabus

Students must complete four courses and a dissertation.

Those registered for this programme must take at least two human rights courses, one of which must be International Human Rights Law, and at least one criminal justice course. The fourth course can be taken from a different LLM Programme. An indicative list of courses is below. Students should note, however, that course options are dependent on staff availability, sabbatical arrangements and sufficient enrolment.
