Full-time students complete the requirements for the LL.M. degree in one academic year (fall and spring). Candidates for the LL.M. degree must successfully complete 24 hours of academic credit, and will normally take no more than four classes per semester. Most classes are three credits. All students enrolled in an emphasis program must attend on a full-time basis. Part-time students may enroll in as few as one course per semester and as many as three courses per semester. Part-time students are allowed a full three-year period to complete all requirements of the degree.  Application Deadline One class is admitted each August, with the preferred application deadline due by July 1 of each year. Late applications may be accepted, time and space permitting. The Faculty Committee on Admissions will consider applications on a rolling basis. International Students: APPLY EARLY. It can take up to three months (or more) processing time for students to receive their student visa (F-1 visa). We would recommend students needing a student visa apply before April 1st.
