This Master of Legal Studies degree is designed to provide a qualification in law for lawyers and for professionals who do not practise law but require legal knowledge and skills. These courses will provide those employed in government and the private sector with a working understanding of areas of the law of particular vocational relevance. This study of law at tertiary level is recognised as valuable training for a variety of legal, quasi-legal and administrative careers.
Graduates of these degrees will not be eligible to practise as legal practitioners but will acquire an in-depth knowledge of the law, the legal system and particular specialised areas of law. They will be able to apply this knowledge to a wide range of public and private careers.
