Presentation and objectivesThe relevance that the phenomenon of the union of people engaged in the exercise of commercial activities has in society is beyond doubt. At present, mercantile companies acquire an extraordinary role, as they are considered the most appropriate instrument for the exercise of any economic activity.
Their performance in the market makes them worthy of our full attention. However, for a long time, they have been the object of attention by other professionals outside the legal world and, today, it is absolutely necessary that we lawyers take an interest in them again. Especially after the profound reforms produced in recent times. We refer to the one contained in Royal Legislative Decree 1/2010, which approves the Consolidated Text of the Capital Companies Law and the most recent ones carried out, among others, through Law 14/2013, of September 27, Law 31/2014, of December 3, or Law 5/2015, of April 27. As has been shown, the reforms that this regulation has undergone highlight its importance in the economic and legal sphere.
The legal problems that companies present should not be alien to us and we must give them our full attention to be able to offer a correct resolution to them.
We consider that this is one of the areas of the legal profession with more projection and in which, perhaps due to its difficulty, there are fewer professionals, so the offer of a postgraduate course taught by professionals dedicated to the subject is more than justified. –Lawyers, Judges and Professors of the University-, all of them specialized in this field.
This Course aims to enable a specialized knowledge of the subject with the depth that its enormous practical relevance deserves and that cannot be attended in this way in the programs of the bachelor's degrees and degrees.
The scientific, academic and professional importance of the title is more than justified, especially when in the ten previous editions it has been especially demanded, with more requests than enrollments in some years.
