Program Description

The online International Criminal Law and Justice LL.M. is the only online transnational crime program from a Top 100 law school. UNH Franklin Pierce School of a Law is a leader in this emerging field of the law, and trains practicing lawyers on the latest developments affecting the international criminal law landscape.

The program addresses fast-paced developments in the globalization of commerce, terrorism, human rights, and criminal law, and offers a diverse selection of courses focusing on critical current issues around the globe, including: Drugs & Weapons Trafficking, International White Collar Crime, Cyber Crime, Human Trafficking, and Piracy & Terrorism.

The International Criminal Law & Justice LL.M. is an excellent fit for practicing lawyers and scholars in diplomatic, criminal justice, military, and law enforcement communities around the world. Students will study transnational law, focused on domestic crimes with international implications, as well as the implications of nations expanding the reach of their domestic criminal statutes, the creation of the International Criminal Court, and Special Tribunals and United Nations conventions with bi- and multi-lateral treaties.

General Requirements

Applicants to the LL.M. must have completed a first degree in law, either a JD or LL.B. All international applicants shall submit current proof of English language ability. Accepted proof includes: TOEFL score of 80 or higher, IELTS score of 6.5 or higher, or proof that the student’s undergraduate degree was taught in English. The GRE or LSAT are NOT required for admission.

Required Credits

To be recommended for the LL.M. degree all candidates must successfully complete a minimum number of credits, complete the required coursework, meet the school residency or continuous enrollment requirements, fulfill all financial obligations to UNH Law, and comply with UNH Law’s Conduct Code.

Number of Credits to earn a degree. LL.M. candidates must successfully complete a minimum of twenty-four (24) credits from a selection of required and elective courses.
