LL.M. in International Business Law and Sports

General

Program Description

Lausanne is the center for global sports and the home of the Court of Arbitration for Sport (CAS). UNIL works with sports law experts and representatives of international institutions to offer two certificates in global sports law and global sports regulation which are linked with the LL.M program. Thus, students can take a variety of courses in these areas, including sports contracts, EU law and sports, competition law and sports and CAS arbitration to acquire specialist knowledge in business law and sports.

To acquire the Business Law and Sports specialization, students must obtain 18 credits and submit a Master's thesis in their selected field. Of the 18 credits, 6 must necessarily include the Global Sports Eco-System course or the Regulatory and Investigative Issues in Global Sports course. The remaining credits can be freely chosen.

  • Sports Contracts
  • Sports Arbitration
  • Foundations International Company and Competition Law
  • Global Sport Eco-System * Picking one of these two courses is mandatory to acquire the specialisation.
  • Regulatory and Investigative Issues in Global Sports * Picking one of these two courses is mandatory to acquire the specialisation.
