LL.M. in Law

General

Program Description

Our students participate in a pioneering problem-oriented programme that defies traditional boundaries within the legal discipline. As a student, you’ll explore a law in context approach in course modules on multi-level governance, on sustainable development and human rights, on business and on private autonomy. You’ll have to think critically on the contemporary relevance of law to global societal challenges.

This LL.M. in Law offers you the opportunity to meet with faculty members up close and become part of a community that acquires knowledge through intercultural dialogue.

The programme aims to develop your research skills through skills training and through exchanges with our (first class) module-supporting research groups. You’ll be encouraged to write a thesis that can be published in an international journal.

Our students enjoy the legal clinic that provides unique opportunities to work on projects together with practitioners.

You will be able to make use of the opportunities that studying at the heart of Europe offers to link up with European and international organizations.

The programme offers you to take one semester abroad at one of the excellent universities across the globe Antwerp has partnerships with.
