Immerse yourself in a real-world learning environment where LL.M. students grow both professionally and personally.
In a time of increasing globalization and concern about issues of national security, refugee and immigration law has never mattered more. Our refugee and immigration law faculty includes scholars, policymakers, and practitioners who have made substantial contributions to the field, including in the areas of asylum law, refugee law, and international human rights law. These experts teach and practice against the backdrop of New York City, a hub of immigration practice and home to two immigration courts, two asylum offices, and one of the busiest federal Circuit Court immigration dockets in the country.
LL.M. students at Brooklyn Law School have the option to focus their courses on General U.S. Law, Business Law, Intellectual Property Law, or Refugee and Immigration Law. The LL.M. curriculum provides lawyers trained abroad with the knowledge needed to master U.S. legal discourse and to enhance their skills for practice in their home countries. Our LL.M. program further meets the requirements to sit for the New York State Bar Exam. As a licensed attorney in multiple jurisdictions, you will be the global attorney of the 21st century.
With our innovative LL.M. program backed by over a century of excellence, we are meeting the demands of a new world of law.
