LLM Programs in LLM Business Law in Cuyahoga in USA. The Master of Laws (LL.M.) in International Business Law is designed to give graduates of law schools outside the United States an opportunity to study U.S. business law as applied to international transactions. The program prepares students for positions in international law firms, in-house legal departments of multinational corporations, government posts and other for-profit and non-profit organizations doing business internationally. The one-year program requires full-time attendance and 24 hours of course credits. Required Courses: U.S. Contract Law for LL.M. (3) Business Associations (4) U.S. Legal Writing (2) U.S. Scholarly Legal Writing (1) Foreign Graduate Seminar (1, fall) + (1, spring) During the Foreign Graduate Seminar, students working toward the specialized LL.M. degree in International Business Law must receive a grade of H on the research paper, required in the second semester, on an international business law topic. Students who receive a grade of S on the research paper receive an LL.M. in U.S. and Global Legal Studies and a certificate in International Business Law. Elective Courses: In addition to the required classes above, students pursuing the LL.M. in International Business Law must complete an additional 12 credits from the list of elective classes below.
