Program Description
Villanova’s Master of Laws in Taxation (LLM) will prepare you to meet today’s tax challenges through a personalized approach, flexible format and interdisciplinary courses.
The Master of Laws in Taxation is a 24-credit degree program that can be completed in less than two years. All courses (six required plus electives) follow an eight-week format, allowing you to concentrate on one course at a time.
The Villanova LLM in Taxation features over 45 comprehensive electives taught by our more than 60 faculty members, including full-time tax scholars and leading practitioners from Big Four accounting firms, law firms, the IRS and other tax companies and organizations. At Villanova, you will examine taxation from multiple perspectives, allowing exploration of how both the law and accounting affect the field’s ever-changing landscape.
Students may also pursue a specialty certificate in Employee Benefits Law, Estate Planning, and State and Local Taxation, either together with the LLM degree or on a stand-alone basis.
The LLM in Taxation is available on-campus, on-line or a combination of both.
