Pro Bono can provide valuable training in real-life situations that complement the classroom teaching you receive with us.

Our Pro Bono Centre is an excellent place to start practicing your legal and practical skills in a supportive environment. There is a wide range of projects available, including:

  • Staffing an employment law advice line
  • Delivering legal education presentations in schools
  • Prisons and homeless centers
  • Researching the cases of prisoners who have lost all rights to appeal

Entry requirements

To apply for the BPP University's LLM you must meet the following minimum admissions requirements:

  • Law degree (including criminology and criminal justice studies) (minimum 2.2); or
  • A degree with some legal/regulatory content and relevance to the programme (minimum 2.2); or
  • Non-law degree (minimum 2.2) and a pass in the GDL or CPE; or
  • Non-law degree (minimum 2.2) and appropriate/ relevant professional experience; or
  • Non-graduates with appropriate professional experience will also be considered
If you do not meet the entry requirements but have other qualifications or work experience, please contact us and we can review your options.

English language

If English is not your first language and you do not hold an honors degree that was delivered in English, you will be required to provide certified proof of ability in written and spoken English to at least, IELTS 6.5 or equivalent, in addition to the above entry requirements. If you do not meet the English language requirements, you may be eligible to join one of BPP University’s English language or foundation programmes.
