Introduction
Are you interested in an in-depth legal degree, taking business management issues into account, with which you are specifically prepared for a career entry as high potential? The HS Schmalkalden opens up the prerequisites for a career as a manager with the consecutive master’s degree in business law. The course meets the requirements of business because it trains generalists capable of specializing in a practical and contemporary manner for export-oriented medium-sized companies to become a Master of Laws (LL.M.).
In particular, the increasing globalization and the growing demands on our graduates are taken into account. The focus of the Master of Laws in Business Law is therefore subject areas with an international focus. The course content is also continuously optimized and adapted to the needs of the economy.

The Master's degree in Business Law runs over three semesters and is based on the successful completion of a Bachelor of Laws (LL.B.) or an equivalent degree. The focus is on broadening and deepening the knowledge acquired in the Bachelor's degree in Business Law. In the first two semesters, modules are offered that enable graduates to independently solve problems in their specialist area and enable them to independently meet the constantly changing professional requirements. The third semester is intended exclusively for the master's thesis. If possible, this should be created in a company or abroad. It is possible to write the master's thesis in English. After passing the exam, the graduates are awarded the academic degree "Master of Laws" (LL.M.). In order to promote internationality, a stay abroad is recommended during the master's degree.
